Pelosi was correct. We had to pass it to find out what it really meant. Now we are finding out. In addition to raising taxes on working Americans and increasing the cost of health care, now we know that lower income people get screwed four ways; 1) higher taxes, 2) loss of employer insurance 3) increased health care costs and 4) lower income due to fewer hours worked.

Great job Obama!!!!!!!!!!!! You screwed the working class once again!!!

If a fairly large municipality, such as Long Beach, feels compelled to cut individual employee's hours to avoid the increased cost associated with Obamacare rules, you know for-profit organizations will be doing it too. The way it is set up, the easiest and cheapest way to avoid the additional insurance cost is to slash everyone's hours and just hire more people. Soon we are going to have a nation of people with two part-time jobs. As far as the articles' bright side point, that the people whose hours are getting slashed can get subsidized health care for cheap, right now the young healthy ones are not paying anything because they opt to have no insurance, so a couple of bucks a week is more exspensive than zero.

I think they mean universal for the little people. The politicians and rich people won't ever have to stand in line.

The problem is employer provided health care. I don't think anyone could dream up a dumber idea if they tried. We really, really need to dump this paternalistic plan from the early industrial age. People should provide their own health insurance or we should have a single payer govt system. We can debate about which is better. To the extent that Obamacare exposes problems and hastens the end of employer care, I am all for it..

their idea of universal, and "helping the middle class" is to offer no way out of the middle class. their agenda is to kick the middle class down with the poor where "they belong." liberal policies don't punish wealth, they prevent it.

Forcing more and more onto medicaid. Many will just say hell what's the point of even working when I can get the same in the mailbox every month from uncle sam too. Obama is creating a massive dependant class that will bankrupt the nation. His goal all along with the rest of the communist scum who infest our government.

Well the American people put too much trust in government. Government does not produce, it has to take from producers to survive. The American people deserve what they get.

"The problem is employer provided health care."

Started out as bait to attract the best employees.

Obama jumpos on a bad economic turndown and intentionally makes it worse as people lose jobs and healthcare. At the same time he shills Obamacare for the Andy Stern, et al authors and socialists as the 'cure'.

Obama's unannounced plan of action is to defy logic and totally destroy the economy through 'cold turkey' strategy which leaves the country in shambles while he again, unannounced, rebuilds the country in his socialist hamdlers vision....of course that includes the need to 'rewrite our history'.

Need any more clues that something bad has been perpetrated on the nation by Obama, the perfect Judas goat for socialism?
