Wrong! You are the one deflecting to make this an issue that it clealry is not. You made a ridiculous statement. Own it. What choice is it that kids are being denied. The processed, overly salted artificially flavvored nachos with a pseudo cheese topping or the beef with the by-products I would not feed a dog? Sounding off on a subject (nutrition, the commercial indistrial food complex) is silly when one clearly has shown that they know zero about it is ridiculous. Since when is a veggie meal served once a day a detriment to a kids health? Provide that data.

Let me clarify,..both vegetarian and VEGAN diets are less than balanced.
If the vegetarian diet contains dairy/eggs for protein, what's wrong with it, pray tell?

Also - could you be just a tad bit more condescending?

You essentially just implied that the parents are feeding there kids junk food.

If you really believe that whopper than do us all a favor and don't ever vote again - because you obviously think that only big government is capable of raising children.
Speaking of condescending, it's good that you understand that a Whopper is junk food.

It's one school in Queens, NY, but IMO, they should do this in all schools especially in areas where kids are offered more fast food as a staple due to its cheap pricing and convenience. Never eat a salad or stir fried veggies? No roasted vegetables either? Sorry to hear that.

Soy and peanut butter are also excellent sources of protein.

Schools have been supplying kids with a nutritiously devoid meal for decades have they?

There are plenty of ways to have a balanced vegetarian diet. Let the uninformed spout off and put their ignorance on display for all to see.

Devoid and deficient are different things. Some school system do better than others, and I think far too few do well enough.
