Looks like its time for a House congressional committee to investigate this serious breakage of protocol.

They investigate every other useless, meaningless, trivial issue so with that vast experience this should be right up their alley.

Ah sweet Jesus, this is one of the most idiotic threads that I've read.

Good thing we didn't elect that Romney guy, then.

MARINE CORPS UNIFORM REGULATIONS, CHAP 3
Male and female Marines do have slightly different protocols and regulations. But, just to clarify, the topic was about the Marines in the photo, not about Woman Marines.

Sure thing Gomer.

That will be the day, when my Marine Corps Commanding Officer orders me to carry an umbrella for him.

So much phony outrage. So little time...
I'd like to know who the idiot was who scheduled this out in the rain in the first place.

The 0bama admin - getting the big things wrong, and the little things wrong, and well even ****ing up the tiniest of things.

I doubt he would know Marine Corps protocol either, but whether or not he or his people would demean his Eight & I Marine Corps by making them hold umbrellas? That we may never know.

Yeah, who scheduled it out in the rain?

I mean yesterday I was going to mow the lawn. Good day for it. The sun was shining, looked great. Got my mower out, put a new clamp on it, sharpened the hedge clippers, then decided to eat lunch. Afterward, I went outside to mow and it was raining. Who couldda known?

I know, this is a stupid posting but it makes as much sense as any of the others here.
