Do not talk bad about the King...............

DUBAI -- A Bahraini court jailed six people for a year on Wednesday for insulting King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa in messages on the microblogging site Twitter, the official news agency said.
The six were accused of writing remarks "undermining the values and traditions of Bahrain's society towards the king on Twitter," the Bahrain News Agency quoted the head of the public prosecutor's office, Nayef Youssef, as saying in a statement.
He said freedom of opinion and expression were guaranteed by the Gulf Arab island state's constitution, law and international conventions, but should not be used in a way that contradicted the norms of society.

You may not be jailed, but probably "investigated" by the IRS...

Well according to Axelrod the government is just too big so the lists will become too big too most likely. I guess that's why the marathon bombers who were on the dreaded list just roamed in and out of the country on a whim too. Yippee.

Pays to have a convoluted last name that can easily get misspelled.

Well to be fair there is no total freedom of speech in the USA either. For example you will be investigated if you make threats against the powers that be or shout fire in a theater or lie to police. It's just a different standard of speech freedom.

Or if you are caught as a terrorist then just squeal and go into the witness protection program.
You get a new name and are essentially "free to fly anywhere".

That's the latest news. The people running the witness protection program didn't give the changed names of terrorists to the DHS.

LOL..the US is putting terrorists into our witness protection program !!!

It's much easier to control people when you can take dissenters out of the picture quickly and easily. Every control freak knows that!

Don't think our "powers that be" wouldn't like to get rid of their limits and exercise more control too, which is why governmental controls over the internet keep coming up, or gun control when gun violence stats are literally half what they were 20 years ago.
