I mean "we" as the collective. Not you and I in this conversation.

100% correct. COuldn't agree more.

This will prove to be the most accurate and valid post in this thread, but it will be largely ignored.

The "my team vs. your team" aspect of political discourse in this country exists only for useful idiots wearing their partisan hack blinders.

It's all a distraction. Obama, for example, is far more LIKE Bush than he is different from him.

The DC politicians don't run this country. They are bought, sold and OWNED by special interest groups--multinational CEOs, heads of global banks and energy concerns, and lobbyists.

The rest of it is a smokescreen--a way to keep us all bickering about the valiant Republicans or the evil Democrats, etc., etc. while we all get screwed.

Very true. I do not know how far we will have to go for the electorate to realize this.

We have a President that entered office as thought of as a savior to those who voted for him in 08.

He is now proving to be no different than Bush(though some of us knew this from the beginning).

This thread shows just how partisan Republicans really are. You attack liberals for being "loyal" yet you have probably never said a good thing about Barack Obama in your life. You are doing nothing more than simply claiming your ideology is right and that anyone who disagrees with you is wrong. You are no better than those that you claim are blind cultlike followers.

/thread

It's just too bad people like us only make up something like 5% of the U.S. population.

As to the bolded, that sound that you heard was the sound of the Obamabots heads exploding! Secondly, it is definitely all about money! Money buys votes. I will continue to vote the way I do, and not support the 2 parties, because even though it is probably rigged anyway, at least I can sleep at night. Wouldn't it be great if people actually used their brains, and either voted for one of the 3rd parties in en-masse, or wrote a candidate's name in en-masse? Then of course the 2 main parties would probably rig it anyway! Oh well. One can dream.

When people dislike a President from day one, you can not blame the president for the divisivness in their hearts. They were never going to like him, they had their reasons. Mitch McConnell held his senate meeting in march of 2009 and said he would deny him bipartisanship, Paul Ryan and 9 other House republicans held their meeting the night of the inauguration. These arent rumors people. this actually happened, yet somehow, republicans continue to blame the president because this nation is divisive.

CD is hardly representative of the real world. And, the Republicans also divided the country when Clinton was in office. Remember that one?

Absolutely. Their number one goal for the previous four years . . . making sure Obama did not win a second term. Not ~ improving the economy or dealing with health care. Nope, making sure Obama did not win a second term - all they cared about.

It's sad really.
