Cops are now being trained that cell phones should be considered weapons in an attempt to stop the recording of their abuses. This is another attack on the constitutional rights of citizens and should not be tolerated.
I thought the courts decided cops could be filmed right back......

I wonder about people who listen to the raving on the internet street corners about the most loony crap they can make up...and think to themselves that this raving lunatic is making a really good point.
The burden of proof lies on the claimant, all I am asking is for the proof of what you said. All you need to do is provide the evidence that convinced you to think this way.

Why didn't you say this before? You do realize that this thread is not about whether non-cop "sworn officers" can confiscate phones that are being used in areas where cellphone use is prohibited, don't you? Perhaps the OP should've put the word "Cops" in the subject title - oh wait, there it is!
I don't think anyone here is arguing that people should be able to record anyone just anywhere. You've been posting on this thread long enough to realize the discussion is about cops who want to keep people from recording their actions in general.

You can prove the sun rises in the East for yourself, just a compass and rising early. You can prove it without "just knowing it."
We know that conspiracy theorists make things up without proof, and can actually prove that with evidence. Your claim is just made up, and continuing to push something that cannot be proven, and simply will not be proven by the claimant (without any care), is lying. I was taught that lying is wrong, but I guess some people don't have that moral education.
I see pontificting. I have seen the same arrogance. Turn off the phone or under arrest for not complying with a lawful order from a sworn officer.
Simple. I don't want your friggin phone. Turn the thing off. You do not have my consent to film or record me. The traffic stop is already recorded by dash cam. That should suffice.

Supreme Court says you are a PUBLIC servant acting in a PUBLIC setting and are thus fair game to be recorded. Step out of line please, because I and others would love to receive a huge settlement from the government gangsters who employ you to cover up your gestapo tactics.
As a side note, I hope everyone reading this thread will remember the arrogance of these mongrels when any bond measure to raise LEO salaries comes to a vote, and not just say no, but hell no!
This sick puppy (who by the way has sworn to uphold the constitution he is trashing) is a perfect example of the warped military stock that LEO recruts it officers from.
