The Washington Post reported that Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius had gone to health industry officials, asking them to make large financial donations to help with the effort to implement President Obama’s landmark health-care law.” A non-partisan ethics expert said the Secretary seemed to be “using the power of government to compel giving or insinuate that giving is going to be looked at favorably by the government.”

This raises yet another disturbing issue, as HHS is currently negotiating with health plans to set premium rates and confirm plan participation in the health care law’s insurance exchanges. Private companies and organizations should never be compelled to enter into a quid pro quo arrangement in order to avoid regulatory punishment.

And liberals have been giving money to the the private sector businesses for decades. Nothing new there.

Subtlety escapes you guys . . .
Obama is the new Reagan. There is nothing liberal about him.
I can only assume you are a younger person who has never experienced a real, true dem like Bobby Kennedy, Hubert Humphry or George McGovern?
There are no real dems left in the democratic party. They are just slightly less crazy than the taliban worshipping republicans

Yep, just like they were pissed about paying higher taxes when Obama said that middle class Americans would not pay one more dime in taxes. Surprises are coming

Yawn.

It was a Republican Administration that went after the Taliban.

Why do people say Republicans "worship/wanna be like" the Taliban after they spent years bombimg the **** out of them? Shows how moronic Democrats are.

And Obama is a big government hack. Just like Kennedy, Humphry and McGovern, just like all dems.

No kidding!

I have never known a republican who worships the Taliban. In fact, it's generally republicans who want to demolish the Taliban but liberals who worship and protect them, refusing to call them terrorists.

Screw the Unions. There are the dopes who pushed and cheerleaded for Obama and friends. In fact, not only should they not get a pass on Obamacare, they should be the guinea pigs. Everyone else should be exempt and they and other prominent liberal groups should be the ones testing it out. They wanted this man and his ideas so badly, deal with it.

Someone making twice the poverty line, say, will only pay $104-a-month

Why dont you tell me where the other $172 a month will come from?
