But if you had actually watched the video you'd have known there are more black caucus members that support it. In fact, the entire caucus supports it.

Uh; are you sure about that? Word was 1 "Hispanic" with the name "Perez" was 1 of Bull Connor's buddies and did NOT like Black people. This was in either Louisiana or Texas about 50 years ago. Tho back then this Perez dude would've been called "white". Sheesh!

He was Leander H. "Judge" Perez. He was the political boss for Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parishes in Louisiana. He was segregationist to an extreme. When Catholic schools were integrating, he tried using corruption to stop the process. He put pressure on businesses to fire White workers who let their children go to integrated schools. He got mobs together to protest integration. His mob of protesters burned down a Catholic school that was trying to integrate. The church excommunicated him as a result.
He believed that Black people were nothing more that animals, and believed that the 14th amendment was "unconstitutional". He kept himself in power for over 40 years by making fake voting ballots and using voter intimidation. He was basically the dictator for St. Bernard Parish and Plaquemines Parish.
What's the disability rate for young black adults (say, 18-34)? And given their high unemployment rate and low wages, how easy could it be for them to live on disability that would pay them what, $600 per month?
When the drug trade is an underground economy that results in tax-free income, I don't think surviving is really much of a problem for most inner-city young men.
