I wasn't sure if I should post this in economics, health, food, or here in controversies.

9-Year-Old Asks McDonald's CEO To Stop Marketing To Children: 'Don't You Want Kids To Be Healthy?' | ThinkProgress

I'd like to know what you would do if YOU were the CEO of a major fast food chain, and what you would have said to this little girl? How would you balance your responsibility to share holders / franchise owners with an ever-growing concern about children's health and obesity? Is junk food so deeply entrenched into our culture that there is no turning back?

You can be healthy as a horse, even eating McDonalds every single day of the week. Who cares what that little snot-nose thinks?

I can't believe McDonald's is still in business. If people were smart, they would market healthy fast food.

There's healthy items on all menus, and lots of people choose those items. That... is why they are in business.

Always someone else to blame.
The mouthy midget can only eat at McDonalds if her parents take her there.
Lets see the little lordess Fauntleroy do without her video game machine or iphone.

He should have asked the kid if they wanted some Chicken McNuggets.

Bet that premise would have been out the window.

Hand the little brat a Happy Meal and say, "Get your butt out on the playground. Toss your iPad, PSP3, Xbox, or whatever else you are playing in the garbage. Stand up in front of your class and lead them in exercise. Lead by example. And if I EVER catch you in any fast food establishment, or eating anything unhealthy, Santa Clause is bringing you coal. Now get out of my face. My private jet is warming up. I have a date with Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders at 9. All of them."

I don't take comments from 9 year olds about adult issues seriously. They are just parroting what their parents have said.

Exactly. Why don't some of these parents just cut out the middle-man and stop exploiting their children for their own agendas.

And we wonder what ideology is driving the heads over at ThinkProgress?

Is this even a worthy story?

Mom tells her kid that bad CEO wants to make children sick. The kid then asks the CEO a loaded question, and it makes the news... Why?
