In simple terms, LOL (or the equivalent for women). One doesn't need to get THAT excited, but I think we all know the feeling of being attracted to somebody. As a straight woman, I usually refer to it as getting the "butterflies" or "warm fuzzies" whenever I see a man I find attractive. I can see a gorgeous woman and realize she is great looking, but typically don't feel anything resembling sexual attraction. Are we really having to explain this?
of course not, i was just trying to be a snarky ******* in the easiest way possible
my honest opinion is it doesn't matter if it's a choice or not (although I firmly believe it isn't)--if two or more people of the same sex want to have sex with each other as long as they are over age (or all within four years of each other), than they have every right to do so and have my complete support in excersizing that right
So are these people denied a fundamental civil right if they are prohibited from marrying a member of their own sex?
If so, shall we now set aside special accommodations in the law for people who think a certain way or engage in certain voluntary behaviors?
Do you see men pitching a tent in public places on a regular basis?
No, you don't.
That this doesn't happen proves my point that thoughts are controllable and very much voluntary.
either you're a woman or don't remember junior high and high school gym classes.
one year i was in a weightlifting class with a girl i had a crush on and some of my gym shorts were too small. i certainly "pitched a tent" when i didn't want to more times than i'd care to admit

I'm not a man, but assume you can feel a level of sexual attraction without actually "popping a boner." No? I don't have a physical reaction whenever I see a handsome man, but still know the difference between finding him attractive vs simply noticing their looks.
Thoughts may be voluntary (I don't believe ALL are), but sexual attraction most certainly is not. And if you cannot understand this, I have to wonder if you've ever felt real feelings for anyone... hmmmm.
You watch men's crotches to see if they are pitching a tent ???? anyways, the ability to suppress sexual desire is not the same as it not being their.
So is it voluntary or involuntary?
