So are these people denied a fundamental civil right if they are prohibited from marrying a member of their own sex?
If so, shall we now set aside special accommodations in the law for people who think a certain way or engage in certain voluntary behaviors?

But if I were to take your "connection" seriously, I'd say that thinking about something is a far cry from signing a marriage license with somebody. You don't think they've done a bit more than "think about each other" up to that point? Uh, okay.

my honest opinion is it doesn't matter if it's a choice or not (although I firmly believe it isn't)--if two or more people of the same sex want to have sex with each other as long as they are over age (or all within four years of each other), than they have every right to do so and have my complete support in excersizing that right

It is true that Jesus said that if a man had anger toward another he had committed murder in his heart, and that if he lusted after a woman he had committed adultery in his heart. This is an explanation of how, if not resisted, sin grows from evil thoughts to evil action. Jesus was tempted with every temptation known to man but did not give in to those temptations. So I ask you, when does a man become a murderer, when he thinks to kill or when he kills? And when does a person become a homosexual, when they have a lustful thought toward another person of the same sex, or when they commit a homosexual act with a person of the same sex?
