Desire is involuntary. Most people don't choose who they find attractive, it just happens.

Ah, I knew you were going there... should have just titled the thread "dem gays shouldn't get married." Yeah, yeah, we know how you feel!

But if I were to take your "connection" seriously, I'd say that thinking about something is a far cry from signing a marriage license with somebody. You don't think they've done a bit more than "think about each other" up to that point? Uh, okay.

It's one thing to be ignorant of politics, it's another to be ignorant of human emotions/desires.

Some might call it emotionally retarded.

If you're more sexually attracted to Sarah Palin than to Hillary Clinton, is that voluntary or involuntary?

Could you force yourself to be sexually attracted to Hillary Clinton if you really wanted to?

my honest opinion is it doesn't matter if it's a choice or not (although I firmly believe it isn't)--if two or more people of the same sex want to have sex with each other as long as they are over age (or all within four years of each other), than they have every right to do so and have my complete support in excersizing that right
I see you are from the "whatever feels is good crowd." It started in the freewheelin 60s and you can see what it grew to when you look around today. Experimenting sexually was encouraged.

People having sex for pleasure predates the 1960's, stop listening to Rush Limbaugh (addicted to Viagra)

Well, you did, so what do you think now?

Are your thoughts on the question voluntary?

It is true that Jesus said that if a man had anger toward another he had committed murder in his heart, and that if he lusted after a woman he had committed adultery in his heart. This is an explanation of how, if not resisted, sin grows from evil thoughts to evil action. Jesus was tempted with every temptation known to man but did not give in to those temptations. So I ask you, when does a man become a murderer, when he thinks to kill or when he kills? And when does a person become a homosexual, when they have a lustful thought toward another person of the same sex, or when they commit a homosexual act with a person of the same sex?
