Other than that, you are correct, there are no words.

Do you think if you don't teach about sex, that no one will want to have it?

To the OP, at what age do you think kids should be taught about these things? Cause I can tell you from direct experience at 10 years old, I knew girls who not only were getting their periods but already experimenting with masturbation, "playing house" with boys and exploring their bodies.

I think its best to educate them soon as puberty hits (if not before) and not wait until the the hormones are in overdrive.

Or were you never a sexually-aroused teenager?

Yep, same experience and observation here from the male point of view.

Kids don't play together in the back yard, playground, or schoolyard? Yes adults may be present but are they listening to every conversation? What about play dates? You sure they aren't talking about sex while playing x-box or with their barbies?

I remember getting my hands on a copy of Judy Blume's Forever when I was in elementary school. I also remember boys bringing Playboy's to school and once a boy found a tattered pornographic novel and we passed it around the entire class.

That's a crock of bull. Last I checked the people have the rights. And yes, my tax money, that I earned by the way, pays for far too much for those that do not want to do for themselves.

Don't bring up vets, elderly or disabled as those are people I have no problem supporting. Those that cannot earn or did and paid and those that served my country deserve the benefits.

You brought up religion. That's a family's responsibility to educate their kids on religion. If they are educating their kids then they are telling them they believe in x, y, or z. If the religion is against bc then they are telling them that too. However once they tell them that, those kids know it exists.

Some parents are uncomfortable with it? Being a parent is not the most comfortable job in world but its a chosen one and needs to be done. We pay far too much out for people that simply don't do their jobs as parents.

It isn't. YOUR money is not paying for anything that the government does.

Your taxes, once paid is owned by the government, and they can do as they please with it.

Like how YOUR money was once your JOB's money, before they gave it to you, so YOU can do with it as you please.

Yes they do, And you can exercise your right, by not visiting websites you don't agree with.

as others can exercise their right to visit that site to have their children be more informed on topics that maybe difficult for a parent to discuss.

And I want MY tax money, that I earned by the way, to pay for this helpful resource.

and if those vets, elderly or disabled are criminals who commit welfare fraud, steal .... you don't mind them cheating the system?

Yet, its the same religious beliefs that says "No, you no can learn about SEX! its evil!" or "NO, BIRTH control is for the devil!!! its a sin!!" what is a child to do in such ignorant beliefs?

Or are you still ignoring the fact that the leaders of teenage pregnancy happen in states where abstinence only education and a strong religious upbringing?

Ha!

I think I was between 8-10 when a next door neighbor was trying to get me to play "doctor" with him right in my backyard, including taking off his pants and trying to show me what he had.

In middle school (ages 11-14), boys were flagrantly boasting about their genitals and taunting girls with them. And yes, some girls were going for it.

I practiced abstinence when I was a teen as seldom as possible. I did use prophylactics always. My partners appreciated that. I apreciated my partners.

We're talking about a website that serves CHILDREN.

It doesn't matter if parents are supposed to explain sex to their children. What matters is that some parents aren't explaining sex to their children. The CHILDREN aren't the bad guys in this situation. The CHILDREN shouldn't be punished in this situation. And not having information that can protect them from unwanted pregnancies, from sexual predators, from sexually transmitted diseases, is hurting CHILDREN.
