Conservative boomers, when will you be satisfied? (Reagan, economy, financial)

If we accept as debatable the notion that prolonged Democratic controls had bloated the welfare state, and that Reagan really had a decent point when he talked about cutting taxes and shrinking government, when is enough enough? It seems to me that most of the things conservative boomers wanted back in the 1980s have happened. Taxes are the lowest in 50 years, regulations have been scaled back, the financial sector profits have exploded, unions have been busted, the American economy is global markets,etc. Early boomers have a tremendously outsize share of the national wealth and profits, as they wanted.

So, if we concede that the conservatives have received most of what they wanted, would it not be logical to say enough is enough? All sustainable systems need negative feedback loops that keep things from going off the rails. When your body overheats, you sweat, when you get cold, you shiver, and so a livable temp is maintained. I would have expecte that as we drifted sharply to the right in governance, the moderate conservatives would have emerged. Namely, those who feel we have moved enough toward laissez faire thinking and need to balance that with civic responsibility. We are seeing precisely the opposite, the further right we go, the more the outrage and militance grows. I can only assume this is because the increased resources to the wealthy are used to fuel propaganda to strengthen their advantage. A positive feedback loop. This is a recipe for disaster, as we are starting to see.

So, if you have already received most of what you want, when will you be satisfied?
