The PDF with the information came from their website. (It's the direct link on page one.) Feel free to email or call them and tell them what you thinkabout it.

And that you can't/didn't read the thread title. You said "jobs" and I said "permanent new jobs." These are two different things.

Here's their number. Give 'em a call. Tell them how you feel.

Ever ask yourself why it's not being stopped by Obama & friends?

Because it's a political headache for them in the polls with independents and the environmentally leaning voters won't leave the reservation.

So, you will get some handwaving and lip-service and then it will be built.

The end.

Politics 101.

You are forgetting the simple truth of the matter. Obama can't stop the states from building the pipeline. The idiot can only stop it from crossing the border with Canada.

Another genius who thinks this pipeline will carry oil for Americans.

Not many jobs. 35 new permanent jobs.

Not 100+ thousand new jobs.

Keystone pipeline report - Cornell University
The pipeline is basically infrastructure, and just like building bridges and roads, those construction jobs are temporary. The difference between the pipeline jobs and Obama's "shovel ready jobs" rhetoric, is that the pipeline jobs do not require our government a dime of taxpayer money, in fact the pipeline construction will create tax revenue.

Why is it when government uses taxpayer money to pay for infrastructure the dems applaud like clapping seals, but when private industry wants to do the same thing they oppose it?

So you don't think we will buy gasoline or diesel from our domestic refineries??

Never said it would. But it would grease the wheels, and get folks to see that it can and should be done. The environmental wackos are the ones holding us back from oil independence. This would be a first step to moving forward.

Yes it will. The oil will go for domestic use, the excess will be exported.

Yeah, and he was talking about 35 jobs, that's why I responded to that with that info.

BTW, there are other pretty-much-"permanent" jobs that should be noted, and commended for their benefits.

Whacko protesters who might otherwise have gotten in the way and trashed various downtown parks and other genuinely useful places, will now migrate out into the distant boonies to march around a brand-new oil pipeline where nobody is watching, or cares.

Every silver lining has a silver lining.

That's all they can whine about. It is either trucked to refineries or by train. Pipeline is safer and cheaper. Because the Bakken oil will also use the pipeline. Currently it is trucked out and by train.

But the environazis fail to see that essential fact.
