Democrats' New Argument: It's A Good Thing That Obamacare Doubles Individual Health Insurance Premiums - Forbes

Is the implementation of Obamacare going to give the Whitehouse to a Republican in 2016 or will it lead to the electorate voting for a candidate who will implement Universal? i.e. Hillary.

Eitherway another Healthcare overhaul is going to be necessary very soon.

And it's presumably also a good thing that many employers are going to drop coverage too.....

Those companies can't handle it, but companies that can will develop and take the lead. That's the way I see it.

It was never anything but an intermediate measure between a private market system and a single-payer system in my mind. But I don't know that the whole "so awful people would hate it and demand single payer" thing is true... Like the whole New Coke fiasco, I don't think they're that smart.

I do not think it was intentionally made awful. Our "leaders" in DC do not need to intentionally create awful legislation - it just comes naturally to them.

I disagree. I firmly believe that Obamacare is designed to be a failure in the long run, in order to push through a true UHC system that will gouge more taxes out of the middle class.

It was intentionally made profitable to the insurance companies at the citizens back. Thats what happens when the insurance companies write their own legislation.

Obamacare is an abortion that was allowed to be born.

My Health Insurance payments have stayed pretty much the same. A friend of mine that is a single proprietor of a business could do better buying her own policy than continuing to work for a big box store for the insurance bennies. That is the Result of the Affordable Insurance Act (Obamacare).

Personally I would prefer a nearly completely government owned UHC with no private sector insurance company involvement at all. I would let the private sector provide the services but with carefully regulated and guaranteed salaries and profits. Multimillion dollar executive compensation would be a dim and distant memory. Millionaire doctors would still be a possibility.
