Meh. The hotheads should have never picked a fight in the first place.
S. Carolina was allowed to secede peacefully for 30 days before they decided to fire on Ft. Sumpter. If they had left well enough alone and used diplomacy rather than arms, 4 years of bloodshed would have never happened.

Their superior fighting skills brought down the thunder and lightning on their own heads. The south never lacked for good fighters, but it sure had a severe deficiency of wise leaders.

That is one irony about the Civil War. The biggest gun companies were located in the territories which the South was fighting against.

Aren't those the same states with liberals who oppose the Second Amendment?

What does that mean?

Do you support the pro-slavery Democratic South?

Do you wish that the Civil Rights act of 1968, which was opposed by Democrats, and supported by Republicans was never passed?

Do you understand the Democratic Party's racist history?

This is like saying a wack job sees a museum exhibit being transported to the Smithsonian and calls DHS police. Really, people.

Look, I was talking about how the South was about the bite the hand that was giving it guns. That is what I was talking about. Why were you coming up with all of this other crap?

The Democratic Party of 1868 was not the same party as 1968. And the only thing that mattered was that LBJ passed it. By the way, it was 1965, not 1968.

And the Republican Party isn't free of its racist past either. Go read about the Lily White Movement. This movement basically tried to purge Blacks from the Republican Party.

That article was biased to begin with. One reason I could not take it seriously.
