He is a Democrat twice elected in Colorado Springs. He clearly appeals to independents and even some conservatives (at least prior to this legislative session and its focus on gun legislation).
Yeah, John Morse wants to institute a Police State. What an idiotic delusion.
Some are aware of their surroundings. Some are not.
Have you looked around lately?
Police are unionized hired guns and body guards, to protect the cities powerful and elites. They are not themselves elected officials, as the County sheriffs that oppose the restriction on the 2nd amendment, of the US Constitution.

Stop maligning a good man. This is a man who has spent a large part of his life in the service of others - an Eagle Scout, Paramedic, Police Officer, Legislator, long time volunteer of charity the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill, and head of a Colorado Springs non-profit that serves the poor elderly community.
Just because he holds some (what I find to be common sense) views on gun regulation and was once a police chief doesn't make him a nefarious individual hell-bent on setting up a police state.
The article is lying. The recall is not official until the recall vote is held. That will be in November, if at all. (If 7000 signatures are found to be valid.)
Coop, you do realize that was NOT an election. It was a signature drive. The signatures have to be validated. If 7000 of them are found to be valid, there will be an election to recall John Morse, costing the taxpayers of El Paso County $150,000
A fee I'll gladly pay my share of. I unfortunately am in district 9 and was unable to sign the petition. That backstabbing traitor needs to get booted out on his ass. The message in Colorado as a whole is clear: Come for our guns, and we'll hold you accountable for your actions.

I was ok with morse until he piped up with this bs. It's is a very pro gun state, you can screw with a lot of things, but firearms ain't one of them.

No, I don't think that's the clear message in Colorado as a whole.
I think the clear message is that a majority of Coloradans support these common sense gun measures and as such a responsive legislature passed them.
It will be really close, unless there are more gun nuts than anyone thinks, coming from both sides at him.
To make matters worse statistically, Morse received approximately 13,500 votes of the roughly 27,000 votes cast. 16,000 petition signatures doesn't bode well for the gun grabbing loser.

Maligning a good man? More like maligning a gun grabbing liberal idiot!

Lmfao, you actually believe that crap? Tell me then, why are 97% of Colorado sheriffs suing governor Hickenlooper to prevent these laws from going into effect? You California transplants crack me up.
