To the clear thinker we see there are serious issues arising with Government overreach, occurring now and prior to 2009 that need to be corrected expeditiously. The problem is with the electorate falling for the MSNBC and Foxnews type rhetoric the divisions amongst the people, along party lines will reduce the chances of or prevent a resolution to the problems plaguing our Government.
Before problems can be resolved the party allegiances must be dissolved.
Bush did not divide the country with his evangelical backed domestic agenda and neo con military ambitions that are still being carried out?
Hm. As I recall Bush worked WITH Kennedy, I don't think he was a conservative, on No Child Left Behind.
I also remember ALL the dems, some who you probably voted for, even twice maybe, who voted in favor giving Bush the authority for the military actions he carried out.
So I would say you have made 2 false claims out of 2 claims.
During the W administration the Democrats knew they could not go after the administration because the same thing would happen. Everyone would clamp up in a nano second.
The Republicans knew they would not get this information out.
But they wanted to show they have prowess by parading the administration into hearings that would go nowhere.
Nothing will be solved by these hearings and the Repubs knew it- its all about trying to slander an administration and party.
The dems wanted to bring down the Bush administration from 04-08 but knew it would really accomplish nothing.
Bottom line - Hearings are not solving the problems. And yes there are problems.
"During the W administration the Democrats knew they could not go after the administration because the same thing would happen"
Where were you during the Bush admin. Certainly NOT following the political actions.
Does the name Valerie Plame ring a bell.
How about when Bush fired few attorney's who seve at the pleasure of the President. Of course not a peep from the dems when Clinton fire EVER SINGLE ONE OF THEM.
I think you need t do some research before making such claims. It might stop some from thinking of you as foolish.
I think both sides of Congress are quite happy with these hearings vs dealing with our economic problems/debt/deficit. Pointing fingers and calling each other names is a lot easier then dealing with numbers and possibly cutting off funds to people who put them in office.
Your real governing comes at the state level.
The Fed level is only dealing with taxes, foreign and national budget issues.
And these days the Fed would rather be working on social issues than any budget issues.
Yup one way to sidestep the issues sin't it. Both sides honestly need help.
But one side would take the win when it has to do with DENIAL.
