That's rich!

Roe v. Wade
What about letting women make medical decisions for themselves, is judges making medical decisions?

We have a system set up by medical PROFESSIONALS that balances the needs of patients and the rare donated organs vs the likelyhood of a patient surviving the procedure. So now, an overly emotional government employee decides to trump medical professionals and the organ donor protocol on what? A whim?

So, this girl gets a needed transplant...which she might not be a good candidate for. Who dies for her to have this chance?

Unless the doctor's decision is challenged in court.

[due process]

U.S. District Court Judge Michael Baylson told Kathleen Sebelius to direct the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, or OPTN, to make an exception to the so-called "Under-12" rule as it applies to Sarah Murnaghan, who has end-stage cystic fibrosis, for at least 10 days, until a hearing on June 14. That move means that the girl can be considered more quickly for organs as an adult, instead of being limited to the pediatric transplant list."

An adult lung can be put into a child. The whole lung doesn't need to be used.
Weren't you complaining about government making medical decisions?

The entire fault lies with the Judge. The physicians alone should be making their guidelines based on what is best medically speaking. I certainly can't blame the parents. What parent would'nt do anything possible when dealing with the life of their child.

What death panel, this is just the opposite. The little girl is now on the list to get a lung and live. No waiting for politicians to do a study on the issue that will take a year to do and she will be dead.

Sorry you are not happy that she has a change to live now.

Quit telling me what I think. Geesh seems to be an epidemic of that around here. Sure way to expose the fact you have no good ideas to propose.

You think they are going to kill someone for their lungs? I guess you don't know how donation of your organs work. Many people die each day and they give them freely after they are dead. Look at the back or your drivers license.
