It is a common trait with Liberals to call their opponents names. Why is that? What is the logic behind that?

No doubt it was a coup. Kennedy was going to end our involvement in Vietnam. I believe that is when the Political, Industrial Complex/War Inc took the country over.
Their puppet Johnson started the welfare fiasco and created a huge dependent class that cannot survive without big government. All a part of their plan to keep people they consider undesirable down.
They are also complicit in the drug trade in this country.

My entire family is Republican; my friends and co-workers are Republican and even they can't stand his silliness. Educated people simply do not listen to the likes of Rush Limbaugh - no matter how you want to spin it. He panders to the lowest common denominator.
The only place I ever hear Rush mentioned is right here on CD.
I remember just this same sort of mindless BS back when CompuServe ruled the day and an Internet Account didn't exist for the public. AOL was in its infancy, and none of the services connected to the Internet yet.
You guys never change, but Rush is even more influential, more successful and more-listened-to (not to mention wealthier, much more wealthier).

We could argue about exactly when and where the military-industrial complex took the country over (though I'm not by any means saying you are wrong) but the point is, the military-industrial complex has clearly taken the country over, in collusion with incredibly wealthy and powerful multinational CEOs, world bankers and energy brokers, and lobbyists.
The media are in the pockets of these folks and so are our precious politicians in Congress and the White House--national-level politicians from BOTH the Dem and Repub parties going back decades.

Anyone that speaks out against affirmative action is called a racist, anyone that speaks out against gay marriage is called a homophobe, anyone that speakers out against free birth control is called a person that hates women....

No, what the OP started was speculation from Rush.
But at least there are elements that you can draw from Rush's analogy and make an argument for or against.
