Fair enough, however how fast can a company pack up and move?
First find a new sight, perhaps retool. Buy new equipment and maintain production in the old factory. A few months is hardly enough time. Perhaps a move is still in the works or they simply decided not to. Who is to say they lied?
I would move the factory to a more business friendly state if it were possible.
They could have found a new location in a few months and had a news conference with the local official saying that this is the new home of Colt. Whether the move has been completed or not. So logistics is not a prevented reason.

A few months? How large is the facility? What tax laws are involved with a move? What benefits can be gained by choosing one community over another.
I work for a big corporation. It literally takes a year or more for such choices to be made and that is just installing a new production line in an existing plant. Which plant???
It really isn't the same as finding a new lot to build a house.
Do you relocate staff? How many people do you offer relocation to? Do you keep it a Union Shop? It is a huge endeavor.
I didnt say Colt should move...they said they were going to move. What ever their realities are are not what thier narative was a few months ago.
All Im saying is why lie? I dont need to know if they are going to move or not...but dont tell lies to make buzz for yourself..

These statements are not true, do you know the logistics behind moving a company this size?
I work for the government and we get "Novation" requests all the time, (when a company has contracts with the government and they want to move, they have to tell us "Novation") for small companies, it has taken many many months, to finalize the move before they are able to start making parts again, for the larger companies, you are now dealing with families lives, town lives, and the list goes on.
We just recently had a company that took 2 years to finalize and move into their new building, and they are considered a mediumn business.....
Because you set a time line, why should the have to follow what you say when you have no clue what it takes to move a company.

Pretty sure thats an incorrect statement! Have you ever been through the process to get a EPA permit to build a manufactureing facility??? It takes for friggin ever!!! And yes they will have to have a Emmisions permit...Something that size more than likely has a Title 5 Federal permit or at least a GPLPE...
Colt has a second plant in Florida.
if they wanted to move the transition wouldnt have been too difficult.
They have a fully functional plant in Florida, and you want to move another fully functional plant into the same plant? There by possibly doubling/trippling the size and you say it's not to difficult? Please explain a little more?
