Just one more example of how our nation is being destroyed by a very small number of wealthy liberals, who won't stop until they have government micro-managing every second of the citizen's lives--and we're pretty close now.

It is amazing how liberal control of politics and the media cause Americans to think the nation is evenly split between liberals and conservatives. In fact, polls done every year consistently show conservatives outnumbering liberals 2 to 1. http://www.politico.com/news/stories...#ixzz2Ty31DYbW

We are a nation of conservatives, bowing under the rule of ultra-liberals who pretend to care about the poor, when in fact they insist on maintaining an economy and tax system that locks both the poor and the working class into permanent poverty and hopelessness.

Wealthy and powerful Liberals are the ultimate hypocrites; poor and working-class liberals are the ultimate sheep in their blind devotion to those who actively work against their interests.

Somebody needs to remind this idiot (Bloomberg) that all of his money will not help him buy gun control.

The problem with your line of thinking is that YOU interpret the 2nd A as an absolute right and any elected official that challenges your belief you think is committing a crime. They aren't. Ironically, while you focus on the 2nd Amendment, you ignore the 1st Amendment.

I don't know what law you imagine that you fear being "disarmed," but if a future law requires background checks at gun shows and the dealer ignores the law, they will be subject to criminal penalties. Or is your legal view that you only have to comply with laws you like?
and the SCOTUS as once upheld slavery, does that make the ruling right?

and limiting firearms and the right to own them of the opinions of other people is a infringement

Short barrle shotgun are not illegal, go read US V Miller, the single worst ruling by the supreme court.

so suspicion is a crime, what ever happen to reasonable suspicion. So saying "no" "go get a warrant" means you are breaking the law, a state agency to violate your property and civil rights on the assumption of of breaking the law, but no hard proof before hand?

and to the anti gun lobby, all guns are illegal.

so you can tell me that no person on the list has ever had their weapons confiscated under and unlawful pretense? such a a soldier who gets help/treatment for mental or psychical injures? or a wrong name or wrong address.

This is what our founder fathers warned us against, this is what they fought to prevent...

Unions saved this nation from plutocracy in the 20th century and built the middle class. The right has been destroying it for 35 years. I'm proud of the unions of America and how we work every day to keep America strong and fight plutocracy.

BTW, this nation was saved from the Nazis by working together collectively. It wasn't just Audie Murphy.
That's too bad I already have Ak-47's.....

Unions were built on gun rights. Have you not read your Howard Zinn, as every good liberal should?

Left-wing professor makes (inadvertent) case for gun rights.

We don't want people like you in power, statist like you have done harm to this nation of the last 80 plus years, you have limited our gun rights under the lie of the "common good" you have taxed us and our property to the breaking point to finance public largess to create and maintain a massive underclass solely dependent on the state for substance and will vote for those who continue to loot the public under the banner of "fairness" or "social justice" in a never ending spin into statism, when the state becomes the holder of all power, wealth, resources, and violence.

As I recall was it not progressive socialist Woodrow Wilson who had reporters/public figures throw in prison for speaking out against the America getting into World War 1, and use the Black Tom explosion as a reason to lock German Americans in prison for no reason?

then the better part of 20 year later FDR used the great depression as excuse to steal the gold of the American people, pass the National Firearms Act to limit the rights of the American people to fight back against a tyrannical government under the false flag of fight crime(which was only a problem AFTER prohibition started, not before) and then during the start of world war 2 signed Executive Order 9066
The American interment act, which took tens of thousands of Americans of Italian, German, and Japanese heritage and stripped then of their rights and property. number of them who were spy's? not a damn one.

Bring LBJ`s failed Great Society Act

Study: $15 trillion in welfare spending has had little impact since 1964 | Deseret News

And flooding our nation with the 3rd world who are nothing but die hard statist, who will give up their god given rights and the chance at wealth and prosperity, and in turn vote for anyone who will give them welfare check, all the while we the freedom loving, creative, inventive, Americans are force to pay for this with our money and worse of all our liberty, and if you speak out again this, you are the problem, you are a threat, you are a racist you are the source of the poverty, violence, and evil in this nation.

factor in the Gun Control Act of 1968, which restricted the type of weapons that could be imported or own on the lie they must have "sporting purpose" which defending ones life, liberty or property does not court.

the Hughes Amendment which was illegally added to the Firearm Owners Protection Act banned the new manufacturing and registration of new select fire/automatic weapons after may 19 1986, for no other reason then the will to usurp the rights of the American people, using the false flag of "fighting crime" with only 3 crimes have ever been committed with a lawfully own Machine guns, and 2 of those times were by the Ohio Police Officers that owned them.

an entire class or arms banned after a arbitrary temporal date for no reason at all. making it a crime to try and comply with that law by banning all registration of machine guns not in the registry before may 19 1986. limited the American people power to protect themselves from criminals, or a tyrannical government.

American today, more laws passed to restrict our property, our rights, our choice, under nebulous terms higher taxes, fewer jobs, fewer choices, a lower stranded of living, a lesser nation and culture.

You are not helping America you are harming it, by trying to making into something it is very cleanly not meant to be.

if a person is walking down the street with a AK47, and he is not pointing it at you, or firing in the air, why do you care? he is not harming anyone. would you call the police if a man was outside his front yard with a chain saw? please tell us why others must be defenseless at your place of work so you can feel some warped sense of safety and self righteous?

oh yes the myth that Unions make this safe and fair, this is not the 1920s or the 1930s most of the laws and rules they wanted they have gotten, please tell me why are they still around?

these days, unions have become powerful political machines that work against individual rights in favor of special interests. they look down on the fundamental American ideals like competition, capitalism, and freedom of choice and instead embrace monopolies, intimidation, thuggery, and bureaucracy-the very same things they once fought against.

they have created a high wage, artificially bubble, which when you figure in the high taxes rates, miles and miles of red tape, and its a wonder way people move jobs overseas isn't?

Unions have had there day, by they are enter the twilight, the shadows are growing longer and longer, and its getting darker and darker.

artisan4 you are harming this nation beyond reproach. why would the laws and policies that have failed(wither by design or unintended consequences) be successful if you pass more of them?

Seems hypocritical to make that statement when the NRA which represents a small percentage of voters has been doing the same thing for the last 30 years buying and selling congressmen. The NRA has been controlling the issue but that was alright since you agreed with their point of view.

By the way it's the not right or left that move the country, we aren't a nation of conservatives.
It's the independents and those in the middle that make the difference.

The President cant do such actions, you are all ok with power being used to further your agenda, yet you scream bloody murder when anyone else does it.

the background checks dont work, and the mayors against illegals guns is a group with the sole goal of eliminating the 2nd amendment. plus with such a track of members being convinted of crimes I think they should not have any modicom of power

there is always a problem with guns, no matter what laws they pass they wont wont, and in turn will pass even more always, as for that group it is mostly comprised of elitist or criminals

members of MAIG have been convicted of crimes. These include:

Baltimore, MD - Mayor Sheila Dixon.[42]Charges: Fraud, perjury, embezzling gift cards meant for the poor; investigated for receiving thousands of dollars in illicit gifts.
Hartford, CT - Mayor Eddie Perez.[43]Charges: bribery, fabricating evidence, conspiracy. Arrested a second time, on extortion charges.
Racine, WI - Mayor Gary Becker.[44] Charges: Possession of child pornography, showing pornography to a child, sexual assault on a child, enticing children, and lesser felonies,
East Haven, CT - Mayor April Capone Almon.[45]Charge: Interfering with police officers.

Outcome: Awaiting trial.

Memorable Quote: "Well, now, I will tell you and I will have this talk with the Chief, but I have f__king had
it with Officer Sorbo playing cute down here at the beach."

Detroit, MI - Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.[46]Charges: Perjury, obstruction of justice, and misconduct in office. Later, re-arrested on two counts of felonious assault on officers. Jailed for violating conditions of bond.

Outcome: Guilty plea to two counts of perjury and one of assault on an officer. Sentenced to four months in jail and five years of probation.

Update: on February 3, his former assistant took a plea and offered to cooperate in proving that Kilpatrick was hiding assets to avoid paying restitution.

Guttenberg, NJ - Mayor Delle Donna[47]Charges: Extortion, mail fraud, tax evasion

Outcome: Convicted of extortion and tax fraud. Sentenced to four years' imprisonment.

Notable event: "The couple surrendered yesterday .... They must also surrender their passports and firearms."

Jackson, MS - Mayor Frank Melton[48]Charges: Conspiracy to violate civil rights (by tearing down a person's house), commission of a violent crime while possessing a handgun

Outcome: First trial ended in a hung jury. He died a few days before the retrial.

Amusing event: In 2006, the same year he joined Mayors Against Illegal Guns, he was convicted of violating a "gun free school zone" law and bans on carrying guns in church.

Passaic, NJ - Mayor Samuel Rivera[49]Charges: Many: before taking office, convicted of covering up a homicide. After, indicted for extortion and taking a bribe.

Outcome: Plea of guilty, sentence of 21 months' imprisonment.

Austin, TX - Mayor Will Wynn[50]Charge: Assault

Outcome: Guilty plea. Sentenced to community service.

Jersey City, NJ - Mayor Jerremiah Healy[51][52]harges and Outcomes: Quite a rap sheet. In 1999, convicted of disorderly conduct. In 2007, convicted of resisting arrest. Presently, he is a suspect in an official corruption probe.

Birmingham, AL - Mayor Larry Langford[53]Charges: Indicted on 101 counts of bribery, fraud, money laundering and tax evasion.

Inglewood, CA - Mayor Roosevelt F. Dorn[54]
White Plains, NY - Mayor Adam Bradley[55]
Port St. Lucie, FL - Mayor Patricia Christensen[56]
Hamilton, NJ - Mayor John Bencivengo[57][58]

So yeah they want to tell us what rights and freedoms we should have all the while living above the law/consequences of their actions..

anything these power say, we should do the opposite.

as for being a socialist/communist(one in the same really)

Myth: Registration does not lead to confiscation

Fact: It did in Canada. The handgun registration law of 1934 was the source used to
identify and confiscate (without compensation) over half of the registered handguns in
2001.380

Fact: It did in Germany. The 1928 Law on Firearms and Ammunition (before the Nazis
came into power) required all firearms to be registered. When Hitler came into power,
the existing lists were used for confiscating weapons.

Fact: It did in Australia. In 1996, the Australian government confiscated over 660,000
previously legal weapons from their citizens.

Fact: It did in California. The 1989 Roberti-Roos Assault Weapons Control Act required
registration. Due to shifting definitions of “assault weapons,” many legal firearms are
now being confiscated by the California government.

Fact: It did in New York City. In 1967, New York City passed an ordinance requiring a
citizen to obtain a permit to own a rifle or shotgun, which would then be registered. In
1991, the city passed a ban on the private possession of some semi-automatic rifles and
shotguns, and “registered” owners were told that those firearms had to be surrendered,
rendered inoperable, or taken out of the city
