let me ask you this, name me the rights, other than marriage and adoption that are being denied to you?
Why should I have something that I think is gross pushed into my face on a daily basis? Why do public school age children need to be shown this crap?

Show me one example of the special treatment I seek.
The mayor of Toronto is being persecuted right into the ground, for the simple reason that he does not want to attend the gay day parade. The populace has become polarized over this issue. The Mayor would rather spend that particular day at the cottage with his wife and children...he refuses to spend the day at the Pride Parade - and does not find it appealing to watch a bunch of guys in leather shorts high on E and coke ---shaking their genitals in public...For this reason the left in Toronto hate this mayor...even though he has saved a billion dollars during his tenure...It seems that this whole issue is about the non- appreciation of homosexuality and the mindless urgency to embrace gay culture...Some people just don't like the whole gay thing - and they have the right not to like all things.

Pride Toronto executive director Kevin Beaulieu called his decision disappointing.
“Obviously, you hope someone will attend when you give them an invitation,” Beaulieu said. “We would look forward to support from our elected officials and it’s maybe disappointing if they’re not able to show that support, sure.”

Doug Kerr, a gay community activist, said he doesn’t care if Ford goes to the parade but he must attend the flag-raising.
“That’s his job. We know the date and time. The flag-raising is city hall’s way of marking this week in Toronto.”
No one is forcing you to be gay, or get married to someone of the same sex. No one is even forcing you to approve of same sex marriages, or homosexuals.
There is no straight gene either. In fact there is no one gene that controls sexual orientation and no one has said that there is.
Human sexuality is not as simple as the sexuality of animals - which is basic and straight forward. Human beings vary from the person who is fixated on shoes to anal sex...to straight reproductive sex - to asexuality. It is very complex - Human's unlike animals have huge imaginations...and seemingly can garner pleasure from just about any act conceived through human imagination. It's really troublesome to see things compartmentalized - gay this - straight that - and so on. Sexual orientation can come into being from eccentric thinking along with training and condolence.
Men that were considered girly or slight in stature are now classed as gay and told from a young age they aRE gay. Burly masculine men who don't want to have the full responsibility of a full relationship of a woman - NOW will take a feminine male as a surrogate woman...AND then these naturally straight males fly the protective flag of "gay"...The whole things is very very unrealistic.
Take a look at any page on the "Politics and Other Controversies" part of the CD forum.
There is every bit as much BS, hate and hypocritical partisan hack nonsense from rightwingers as from the left.
I don't know how many times I've heard anybody coming across as "liberal" being labeled socialist, fascist, communist, America-haters, terrorist sympathizers, people who want to destroy society, etc., etc.
and I bet if that law changed, you would support those perverts too.
and it needs to stay in the bedroom and out of public and especially in the public school classrooms.
See California.
And it needs to be treated like the disorder that it is. But unfortunately, our society is hell bent on political correctness, that 'anything goes' is the norm anymore.
Can you produce one single reason to oppose same sex marriage or be offended by homosexuality that doesn't stem from hate, fear, ignorance, bigotry, or some combination of those things?
Just one is all I am asking.
Can you produce one reason you would assert that homosexuality is a "disorder" that isn't based on one of the things I mentioned above?
Why do you endorse discrimination and bigotry?
Precluding consensual adult couples from marrying based solely on their gender is the very definition of discrimination and bigotry.
and this is exactly the crap that happens here.
if you don't support a twisted and sick public opinion, no matter how popular it is, you are hung out to dry.

no but I don't believe public schools should be addressing this issue to young children.

Marriage and adoption are the two big ones, and the ones that we are fighting for.
Others would include non discrimination based on orientation in employment, and housing.
Telling students about safe sex for any orientation, is just being responsible. Telling students that some people are homosexual is just stating FACTS. Tolerance is never a bad thing.
There are many things I find gross, I don't start, or open stories on that topic. Nothing being shoved anywhere. In public homosexuals are not doing anything that heterosexuals don't also do.
