Good for them!

Because appearently faith is lacking in the home, kids don’t believe in the religious leaders at church, so why not try to hit them at the school.

He might already have.....I guess you skipped some of the lovely stories where your Christian god is not such a nice fella. The sword was a common weapon in The Bible.

It was wrong for people to protect themselves 3,000 years ago? I'm confused as to your point. How does arming oneself for protection make God a bad "fella"?

Yes it does. See U.S. Constitution, Amendment I.

You said it. The Bible-pounders better keep clear of my kids unless they want to meet their god sooner than they expected.

When we see, "In God We Trust" scripted on the side of the court house, the front of the school, or on our money. Does it strike us down? Does it cripple us so we can't walk?????

It was a tradition that our country was founded on. We started that way. If you really don't think you believe in what our country laid down. MOVE.

Homosexuality is not a theory or a belief system, its a reality. I am not sure how this relates to a public institution endorsing religion.

I was responding to this post:

"I am all for free speech, but I do believe schools should educate, not indoctrinate."

Indoctrination refers to other areas besides religion. I refer you to any of the excellent posts on this board by "Informed Consent".

God himself may not have been 'a nice fella', but the book does not teach violence.

The sword was also a common weapon in Disney's child-flick 'Aladdin'
