This notion got buried in my last thread so I wanna bring it to the forefront since this has become an epidemic in Austin and surrounding areas. Killing people and killin dogs at will. As I'm sure other citites in Texas and nationwide. So here it is

I believe they should be tested for the hardest drugs on the street from cocaine to meth to heroin...not weed because they already smoke that I'm sure. but the hard stuff can make you loopy and unfocused coupled with awful judgement.

And it's a given they should be tested prior to employment but randomly? not so sure aobut that one.

What say you?

Randomly drug Test ALL Cops or just the Trigger Happy Ones that kiil somebody or kill their dog lassie?

My understanding is that they get drug tested after shootings, regardless of there being a fatality or not.

Doesn't belong in the Austin relocation forum. Politics and controversies - reported, hopefully a mod will move it for you. And all cops are randomly tested.

Well, they should certainly be given serious instruction in handling dogs without a bullet. Especially with a six year old kid in the same yard. (As I understand it, there's the bullet that hit the dog, and then there's the two bullets that were fired that haven't been found yet.)

I hope you're right. I'm submitting an Open Records request today for ALL Killings/Murders by Travis/Wilco Cops/Sherrifs since 1991 to check it. if they didn't test them immediately afterwards(not weeks later, IMMEDIATELY), Look for this story to reach KEYE and KXAN and NEWS8...AND maybe even further since I know a few people in High places around here. I bet the Murders stop then. And if they stall me out, I'm gonna expose that tooo.

And yes I'm calling them Murders because that's exactly what they are.

I mean serioulsly, whatever happen to "Freeze!" and "Stop!"....I guess the .40cal is doing all the talkling nowadays.

You'd think they'd get that training since they have drug dogs on staff, right? just wasting tax money and ruining lives that's all.. and that *expletive* Acevedo is nothing more than a criminal from L.A. himself. He's the one helping them get off. I notice how he loves to come on TV/Radio and talk about how great the APD is, but never to reprimand his troops.

and yes, the kid coudlve' been shot, then what? Reckless Trigger Happy Cops is the correct name for those animals with badges

After an OIS (at least here) the Officer is tested for drugs, this is of course, in addition to the random drug tests that pop up throughout the year.

Harrier doubts that the administrators of those tests are reliable.

Cops work drugged up - that explains their murderous actions.

Harrier doesn't know what he's talking about (shocker!) and odds are, has never been in an OIS or the subsequent investigations that follow.
