That's the reasoning used anytime there is a surprisingly low attendance for anything -- that those people must be at work. That's why all the polls leading up to election day were so inflated for Obama -- because black people were at home and could answer the phone. Not at all because Obama was going to win the election.

As for teabaggers unable to attend a rally because they were working, well, how much do people get paid to drive rascal scooters anyway?

Sir, or Ma'am (your name is kind of gender neutral), can you explain to me how a routine speech in another country is really even newsworthy in the first place? Quite frankly, I think the main reason conservatives are jumping down Obama's throat on his speech in Germany is because it is a country where Unions and social services work so well that if Americans ever got wind of this, Republicans may never see the light of a majority in any chamber ever again, and you know this.

Nope.

I guess you'll have to ask the 200,000 people who went wild at his first of two such.

Let me know what they tell you.

You might also ask them why they attended the first but didn't attend the second.

Again, let me know what they say....

What they would say, if it applied to this speech in the first place, is that they are disappointed because Obama presented himself as more progressive and liberal than he actually is. This is what many conservatives on this forum and elsewhere don't seem to grasp. yes, many of us have "buyers remorse" where Obama is concerned....but we don't wish we could go back and vote for McCain, we wish we could go back to the primaries and vote for Hilary.
