I didn't vote at all in 2004 because it was like voting for having either salt or rubbing alcohol poured on a wound.

We should all quit playing for the "teams" and start demanding better choices for candidates. Sadly, the political machine of DC has grown so big that we will likely never get to choose who THE PEOPLE want, but rather, choose from who the puppetmasters put on stage for us to begrudgingly vote for.

I'll vote for Ron Paul, and if he is not in the GE, I will vote for any other candidate that is not mainstream and still has a few principles left. Right now, the front 3 on both sides look like mannequins.
You make a lot of good points. Still you have to shake your head at posters that are like "Bush is a problem? What do you mean. Things are all just hunkeydorey. Can I vote for him again? " That is some fascinating irrationality working in those minds.

Spunky, If accurately stating what a person said, no matter who that person is, makes one an apologist for their actions, then I now understand your mind set. I have finally met someone from the hollow earth society, a Jonestown survivor, or at the very least, the best example of social engineering I have seen yet. Who says propaganda needs to be sophisticated in order to be effective. You may want to reconsider that young wo/man

No, I place a much higher priority on reality, the President will be either a democrat or republican , so as i said If Bush was the republican nominee againts this group of surrender monkeys on the left he would get my vote, I would vote for a democrat in a minute if he were strong on defense, cut taxes reduced government, tough on crime & didnt cater to the socialist, homosexual, enviromentalist, antiwar, union ,abortion lobby and the rest of the lunatics on the far left. Zell Miller I would vote for him! How bout you?

I have one family member left who still thinks Bush is a good president, but he NEVER keeps up with things.

As for discussion boards, yes there are a lot of people who still somehow manage to think he is a good president. Simply unbelievable how anyone could think that. I do think that because he has screwed up so many things that he has become an easy target for ANY story to stick that bashes him, and for that I have occasionally sided not with the president necessarily, but against criticism that I felt was unreasonable.

I did support the war efforts for as long as I possibly could bring myself to reason that there was even the tiniest possibility that it could come to a good ending. The administration has proven that is impossible, with the violence in Iraq dropping a little bit, they are now determined to open up another war while we are still involved in 2 that are not only unfinished, but still using an unbelievable amount of our military resources. We are now so committed to a long lasting war over there, we are less secure at home than we have possibly ever been.

I agree with a lot of you, once yes, twice no. people who voted for him twice, really should think about whether they should ever vote again. There is tons of info on Bush out there, besides the campaigning stuff, to tell anyone, this guy is dangerous, which he proves every day he opens his mouth. What gets me is no ones is willing to impeach at least, Cheney, who has proven to be a real sicko. Most people feel this, but won't speak up. Unbelievable! By the way I am a texan. We tell people that he was a lousy govenor, among other things, and those who voted for him, did so to get rid of him. By the way, watch out for our current governor, Rick Perry, another neocon vying for power. Hear Guiliani is considering for VP. BRRRRRRRR....!

Silas777: So in essence you are saying that you would not vote for a Democrat, (knowing full well that a Democrat would not take the positions you stated above)...even if a Republican (in this case Bush) completely destroys the country from outside as well as within. Which gets back to my original point...you and others who take the same position as you, have more allegence to party affiliation and your own selfish agenda than the overall good of the country. Now, that's sad.

I agree completely. Furthermore, this entire situation the country is in only substantiates what people were saying about Bush when he stole the election the first time, and his (ok I'll be nice) supporters voted him the second time...Which was...The Man Was Not Qualified To Be President.

I have met some people that have voted for Bush - some even twice - but have now come out and admitted that they were wrong. I have respect for people that can own up to their mistakes. Even so, I am still afraid of them. There has to be some sort of genetic defect within that made them so gullible in the first place, and I fear they could fall prey to future propagandists such as Rudolph Ghouliani or Shmitt Romney. A simple hello is usually as far as I will go in daily interactions with them. Often I just nod at them, avoiding direct eye contact.

However, those who voted for Bush and are still in denial - and manage to go to great creative lengths to defend this administration - it is these people who deserve some of the harshest of treatment ever given to any American citizens. Simply put, they need to be culled from decent society. Like chickens with the Bird Flu - their mental illness and toxic personalities must be swiftly dealt with, particulary if they are still in an age range of reproductivity. Luckily, most of the remaining Bush apologists are middle aged to older men who are not sexually active. Unless of course, you count public restroom activity.

Default Nope

He lost the popular vote both times... Nobel Laureate Gore would have been great and we all know that he actually won anyway hanging chats notwith standing...but then again if you were the guv of the deciding state wouldn't you try to help your brother out..they impeached Clinton for getting a blow job and W has done lots of things far worse than that...

I wouldn't go so far as to say folks need harsh treatment, too far for me, but I do question the defensiveness and wonder why we read here so much combativeness when the President's actions are challenged. Is he being compared to G-dhead?
