Let's see. I have attended hundreds of depositions, read hundreds of deposition transcripts, and I am quite familiar with how all of this works. Actually, the procedures are just a little complex for people who are not involved in these kinds of proceedings. I am getting the impression, though I don't know this for certain, that Mr. Martin did NOT give a sworn statement (something I think you're referring to as "testimony" to Det. Serino. People who just talk to police, do not sign the notes made by the police. The only documents "witnesses" would sign would be DEPOSITIONS. If you believe that they sign sworn statements, recorded by police, please give me a link to that requirement by law.
whatever, you'll see how it really works, you have no clue.
The one that they make when they question people. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!! It's called a written statement and he HAS to sign it after reading it, he can't go back and say something is a lie in it AFTER he reads and signs it.
If he didn't say it in his written statement then you have....nothing.
This woman's family is Hatian, therefore, English is most likely not her first language, it's Haitian Creole French. IMO, that explains why she didn't know how to spell Trayvon's name and why she has had trouble expressing what happened. Many, many Hatians in Miami speak Creole and they have Creole interpreters always available in criminal court in Miami.
