OK, fine. The term "cracker" is no more, or less, racist than the term "ni**er" is. And of course anyone referring to the old OJ jury as a 'blankety-blank ni**ers' wouldn't have had any racist connotation either. Right?
I doubt that anyone thinks 'he looks black' is a racist remark.
As for 'cracker', I don't consider that a racist remark, either.
When Casey Anthony was found innocent, I referred to her entire jury as 'blankety-blank crackers', and I'm white. I have no idea what the racial makeup of that jury was.
Have you ever heard a dispatcher ask, "Is he black, hispanic, or a cracker?"
Disabilities? Maybe she is just ignorant. That doesn't mean someone is disable, it just means perhaps she has never learned how to conduct herself or how to handle certain situations. It always disturbs me how people are quick to say someone like this has a disability.
In court the prosecuting attorney told the judge she cannot read cursive. Not being able to read is a disability.
I am not judging her...As far as I understand being a wittness does not have degree requirements. She is out of her element, obviously. She is distressed and most likely hasn't had any sort of grief counseling for the death of her friend. I guess I am more sympathetic than at least a few posters.
You'd rather label someone ignorant, than acknowledge that some people have learning disabilities. Your opinion your words, my opinion my words. Carry on.

Cursive is a style of writing that has become archaic in an age when everything is typed on computers. I can barely read cursive and I am college educated. She was fully able to read print, so I don't know what your point is?
College educated and can barely read cursive??? Oh my.....I'm speechless.
Listen, I'm not happy about the level of ignorance and disrespect this young lady is displaying either but the setting is entirely different.
While this is a professional setting, she is also UNDER OATH. In recounting the story, Trayvon used those words; therefore, she is under obligation to repeat the words TM used AD VERBATIM. This isn't a situation where Miss Rachel is calling the attorneys, judge or jury the word. She is simply recounting the story.
Not everyone is against Paula Deen, and I feel like the combination of these two events is apt to set off some kind of race war between racists on BOTH SIDES. Incidentally, neither of you are helping.
Apparently you missed the point that she clearly said SHE does NOT think "creepy assed cracker" is a racist comment.
She was stating what SHE thinks. And clearly, she hangs with racists just like herself; i.e., Sweet Little Trayvon.
