Nelson Mandela was a communist. Reagan was President during the final struggle of the Cold War.

Not supporting Mandela as an individual does not make you on the side of white supremacists.

That's just liberal revision of history.

Or are you going to say Obama supports killing Christians and burning churches because he provided foreign aid to Egypt? No? Didn't think so.

Now of course that they were proven wrong by reality, conservatives don't learn to question their jacked up ideology that would lead them to label one of the greatest fighters for freedom as a terrorist and would lead them to support the racist white supremacist apartheid South Africa regime, nah conservatives just pretend they have always loved Mr. Mandela, just like they pretend they always loved Martin Luther King.
You mean like Democrats pretend they were always against the Iraq War and always supported gay rights even though it was Democrat votes that got both the ban on gay marriage and the resolution approving the war passed?

There was nothing in depth...in fact, idiot Hannity just said hat "Nelson Mandela has died and we will continue to cover the story as it unfolds." Is he joking? What is going to unfold? Mandela is dead. Hannity's next sentence was "Obamcare, blah, blah, blah". What a poor excuse for even a propaganda broadcast media outlet. They cannot even pretend well. Twenty four hour talking points and not much else.

communist party activity is made up, he was a democratic socialist.

there was no terrorist activity. Umkhonto we Sizwe was a reasonable reaction to a white dictatorship. the only people who disagree are those who supported apartheid.

Come again?

In 1996 the GOP held both houses of Congress. In 2002 they held the House and were 50/50 in the Senate with Cheney as tiebreaker.

Revisionism indeed.

Absolutely...if Nelson Mandela was a terrorist, so were Washington and Franklin.

That Castro and his equivalents supported Mandela when he needed it and we did not, stands to our discredit, not Mandela's.

South Africans should have fed him to the sharks in the 1960's.

green_mariner = "To you he [Mandela] is a Marxist terrorist. To the millions who wanted to see a better South Africa, a South Africa without apartheid, he is a hero."

Idiot lefties idolize Che - it doesn't make either of them less of a Marxist terrorist.

I attended public school and never learned anything about him. I am sure he did good and bad, but I have no idea about his person.
