Since he's already making headlines, his legacy is going to be politicized some way or another, so I want to ask what conservatives think of him?

conservatives hated Nelson Mandela and were on the side of the white supremacists in South Africa.

Their conservative hero R. Reagan labeled Nelson Mandela a terrorist. Now of course that they were proven wrong by reality, conservatives don't learn to question their jacked up ideology that would lead them to label one of the greatest fighters for freedom as a terrorist and would lead them to support the racist white supremacist apartheid South Africa regime, nah conservatives just pretend they have always loved Mr. Mandela, just like they pretend they always loved Martin Luther King.

Huh. Most of the cons on this forum probably don't know who you're talking about.

Conservative here. I think Nelson Mandela did a great thing for South Africa. Apartheid was an abhorrent practice and his willingness to stand against it even when jailed for many, many years is quite noble. He is and should be respected for what he has done for South Africa.

When you make such a disgusting accusation, I am obliged to ask you to kindly prove that "liberals" supported/did not support any such thing. Other than your rectal imaginings.

Thank you.

Mandela is/was a brave man with the strength of his convictions. He is a hero to the South African tribes, what more is there to say?

Not my country, not the policies of my government, (at this time), he is comparable to any of the revolutionary leaders of any country that brought about change for their people.

Not sure why so many are trying to bait and politisize here.
