Actually, we've chucked "your" god out of our lives and don't give a flying **** what you do with yours!

So, because many gays and lesbians don't believe in an invisible sky daddy, that means they expect straight people to also not believe? All they are asking for is equal rights, not the right to dictate your religion.

The bible also says that shellfish are an abomination, but Red lobster is still in business. In fact the Sunday after church crowd is huge.

Who are you to decide he is a Catholic? Catholics are instructed that marriage is a blessed sacrament and that homosexuality is a sin. To support something deemed an abomination is the equivalent of a sacrament is blasphemous.

He can call himself whatever he likes but he's no Catholic.

My CHRISTIAN church performs gay marriages. I have a lesbian pastor. You are very, very wrong.

Eating of shellfish is not being elevated to the level of holy matrimony.

Folks can call themselves whatever they want but what you are describing doesn't sound Christian. Sounds like a faddish church built on sand that will blow away in due time.

What "level" are you talking about. What distinction is there between "do this and don't do this" regarding various things in the bible. You cannot just elevate "holy matrimony" to some sacred pedestal because you want to and ignore everything else you find insignificant. That is the problem with fanatic religion.

Yet the state government licenses restaurants to do business, including Red Lobster.
Just like some states license same sex marriages.

BTW holy matrimony is a religious thing, not a state thing. You get a marriage license from the state, not a holy matrimony license.
