MARRIAGE IS MATING....Birds get married...many animals in the natural world take on a life time mate...and it is not just to go out to dinner and take vacations at some spa. "pop out kids" ??? what is this now...some sort of dirty and un-natural event? Its NORMAL. People who get together and do not breed are NOT mated - they are not naturally married...Why is it people who are human defy nature? I have never seen a couple no matter who they are - who are fully mature and developed as human beings until they have kids...it is a developmental issue...a progression. To take the artificial view is regressive. THAT IS A FACT.
Where do birds get married? The local Bird Justice of the Peace? And as to animals, there are gay animals as well. And most people are heterosexual. SO WHAT? Let me say that one more time: SO WHAT?

Here, feast your eyes on this article:

How marriage has changed over centuries - The Week

The first recorded evidence of marriage contracts and ceremonies dates to 4,000 years ago, in Mesopotamia. In the ancient world, marriage served primarily as a means of preserving power, with kings and other members of the ruling class marrying off daughters to forge alliances, acquire land, and produce legitimate heirs.

in the 5th century, church courts took over and elevated marriage to a holy union. As the church's power grew through the Middle Ages, so did its influence over marriage.

For thousands of years, law and custom enforced the subordination of wives to husbands.

Same-sex unions aren't a recent invention. Until the 13th century, male-bonding ceremonies were common in churches across the Mediterranean. Apart from the couples' gender, these events were almost indistinguishable from other marriages of the era. Twelfth-century liturgies for same-sex unions — also known as "spiritual brotherhoods" — included the recital of marriage prayers, the joining of hands at the altar, and a ceremonial kiss. Some historians believe these unions were merely a way to seal alliances and business deals. But Eric Berkowitz, author of Sex and Punishment, says it is "difficult to believe that these rituals did not contemplate erotic contact. In fact, it was the sex between the men involved that later caused same-sex unions to be banned." That happened in 1306, when the Byzantine Emperor Andronicus II declared such ceremonies, along with sorcery and incest, to be unchristian.

Well, it is normal, normal throughout the animal kingdom, normal in humans. It would be abnormal if we did not exist, but we exist and always have.

Taking the debate to those without the adult ability to detect bull **** just shows how correct I am and how full of **** you are.
Really, it is you that makes no sense and are full of lies and intolerance. Why should I have to tolerate people like you and your bigotted ideas. You are so narrow minded that you cannot see that we are people too, you equate us with evil and call us abominations, it is you that is intolerant, it is you that is full of hate.

How many lesbians practice butt sex? Few. How many straight people practice butt sex, a lot, over 40% of straight couples. So the way a person has sex has nothing to do with their rights or with being allowed marriage. Now this is what the op meant about people being obsessed with gay sex. Just like you are obsessed with anal sex. Do you seek out anal sex videos? Do you think about it every time you see a man you think is gay? Momonkey cannot stop thinking about butt sex, bothers him that other men do it.

The homos are stupid to go along with this, and just makes a mockery of the entire system.
Bull, your divorce rate of over 55% makes a mockery of straight marriage. And you know what, it is about the money, about the taxes, about the rights, about the benefits, about having the same equality, not being treated as second class citizens subject to the vagaries of christian society.

You must be an idiot. she even said he passed away. You are callous dude. Heck if I wanted to go to a party or dinner and my spouse insisted on sitting it out in the car, tough for him. Many times he refuses to go to a dinner party and begs out of it, I go anyway and he can stay at home. No spouse should have to bend over backwards for their spouse.

Have you heard the phrase "strawman argument?" You just provided a perfect example.

WE are not abnormal. If you do not like subjects about gays, then why are you on this thread. Just because the minority is a minority is no reason to expect them to just hide from you because you do not like them.

I an not "confused" in the least. Those who are confused are the ones who think that homosexuality is "normal."

The point I was making is that even though not everyone one wants kids, two men together cannot create one.

Did YOU get it clear once and for all (I doubt it). If not, read up on biology!

It is not a defect, it is normal. Heterosexuals advertise their sexuality all the time, in the news, in news papers, on TV, in the movies, it is all the time, everywhere in your face straight this, straight that, men seeking women, men using viagra or cialis to please their wives. It is constant, especially late at night. Why must you straight people advertise your sexuality all the time?
