“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” - Samuel Adams
“The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.” – Tacitus
“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” – Thomas Jefferson
“Perfect safety is not the purpose of government. What we want from government is to enforce the law to protect our liberties. The government does not need to know more about what we are doing. We need to know more about what the government is doing. We need to turn the cameras on the police and on the government, not the other way around. We should be thankful for writers like Glenn Greenwald, who broke last week’s story, for taking risks to let us know what the government is doing. There are calls for the persecution of Greenwald and the other whistle-blowers and reporters. They should be defended, as their work defends our freedom.” – Ron Paul
“This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector.” - Plato
“A great wave of oppressive tyranny isn't going to strike, but rather a slow seepage of oppressive laws and regulations from within will sink the American dream of liberty”
-George Baumler
“Withholding information is the essence of tyranny. Control of the flow of information is the tool of the dictatorship.”
― Bruce Coville
“What are the present governments of Europe, but a scene of iniquity and oppression? What is that of England? Do not its own inhabitants say, It is a market where every man has his price, and where corruption is common traffic, at the expense of a deluded people? No wonder, then, that the French Revolution is traduced.”
― Thomas Paine,
“We just can't trust the American people to make those types of choices.... Government has to make those choices for people.”
― Hilary Rodham Clinton
Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms (of government) those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny”
-Thomas Jefferson
It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong.”
-Voltaire
“Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.”
-George Washington
“Whenever you have efficient government, you have a dictatorship”
-Harry S Truman

And what, in your aluminum-foil encrusted mind, makes these people tin-foil hatters?
I don't get it...there's truth in many of these, and they are not even in the same vein. What is wrong with them? The Hilary quote btw was not a general statement, and was said in a debate with Republicans who wanted to give Americans a stipend for health care rather than insurance, which they could keep if they didn't spend it. Hilary was afraid people would skimp on health care, not get inoculations for their kids, etc, in order to not to spend the money. Many of them probably would.
I think you misunderstand the tin foil hat concept...
Here, these are examples that you can find on C-D:
Obama's birth certificate is forged.
The government uses HAARP to punish people with opposing opinions.
Homosexuals are aliens who have come to destroy the human race.
Chemicals are added to our water supply to make people more agreeable.
God hates **** and uses earthquakes to let us know.

He provided the exact quotes with names, until you do the same, your post is fiction.
Obama is a globalist ineligible Marxist puppet. HAARP can control the weather and cause irreperable harm to our atmosphere. Homosexuals cannot reproduce by nature (they are a tool for population control), fluoride does not belong in your water, HAARP can cause earthquakes on command. signed claudhopper.

Can you at least try to prevent the General from blowing his brains out?
