Funny, I am constantly being scolded by white folks that by calling myself an African American that I am beind divisive. That being the case, why should "white people" be concerned about their birth or death rate seeing how we are all just Americans.

LOL - I don't know. I'm pretty sure the way things are going my red haired blue eyed 22 month old granddaughter is going to take over.

Great point. I mean, I thought they didn't care about race?

Oh well...another debunked conservative myth.

So true. Latinos tend to report themselves as being substantially "whiter" than they actually are. Definitely the case with mestizos.

^ basically who cares? you are either a "Caucasian, Negroid or Mongoloid" and then we intermingle with each other so we will eventually be one!

Pointing out the effect of white supremacy in Latin America.

Happens in Puerto Rico as well. Most "white" Puerto Ricans have features similar to Daddy Yankee, and he is definitely of mixed race. Contrast that with the current governor.

Daddy Yankee----

Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla-----

People like Padilla are probably no more than 10% of the population of the island, but Puerto Rico self reports 64% white ancestry. Clearly, as in all of Latin America, latinos tend to overemphasize their white ancestry when it's not warranted. It doesn't seem that way too much when they make it state-side.

And I'm sure this is going to sound really, really un-PC, but so be it. It's the truth. It has more to do with education than race. If other groups were as highly educated, on the whole, as whites, they wouldn't be having as many kids, either.
Agreed.

Word is educated Black ladies have even less kids per women than educated anglo white ladies. Japan's doesn't make enough babies to replace the old people dying and Japan ain't "white" either.

I also like the energy that youth brings to a society. I grew up in southwest Florida where the median age is like 60 years old. Just going to a restaurant will make you feel like the world is ending because there is nothing young around. Immigrants will make sure our whole country doesn't become like this.
Legal aliens are Ok and we'd be better off with ones from English speaking countries regardless of race.
