What does a medical emergency or getting cancer, or any other expensive medical ailment have to do with being responsible for yourself. Disease doesn't just happen to irresponsible people.

So blame your private, for profit insurance company. Their policies and decisions are not the fault of the federal government. They are a business, their pockets are their concern. Not your health or providing you with decent access to it.
Why would I blame private companies for problems caused by Obamacare?
California sucks, and so does Obamacare. They deserve each other.
Really ignorant comment regarding CA. "As CA goes so goes the nation". In case you're not familiar with that saying is that whatever "It" is, "It" starts in CA and other states follow.
From smoking in restaurants to wearing seat belts. So what you see in CA with insurance companies pulling out, you will soon see in other states.
As others have said, so much for keeping your own insurance.
It makes me angry knowing the possibility that we could get immediate emergency treatment for free or low cost instead of having to pay thousands on a bill and risk not having the entire bill covered, including the ambulance ride
Nothing is free, nothing. Medicare is expected to cost us $916,000,000,000 this year and that only covers a portion of Americans. Shifting the cost does not change the cost. When you deal with monopolies then you have to pay monopoly prices.

$260 billion for medicaid in 2012 (CBO) and that is just the Fed portion and is expected to double with expanded medicaid under Obamacare.
So that's another 8,000 Californians losing their health plan.
So much for you can keep your health plan if you like it.
Oh lordy. This has been happening with insurance all the time. In my life I've had to change plans about 20 times, I think, and GPs almost as many times. The U.S. has had a horrific health system always. What on earth are you talking about?

Why would you blame Obamacare for the problems caused by private companies in the first place resulting in Obamacare being proposed at all.
Circle. Circle. Circle.

This.
Obamacare was supposed to provide coverage to the uninsured. We learn it may not do that at all.
Obamacare was supposed to decrease the cost of health insurance, instead it is increasing it faster than it was before.
All the while, we were promised that if we liked our health plan, we could keep it.
All lies.
