It's interesting to watch these black Democrat politicians (Bill Thompson being the other one) coming out of the woodwork playing the race card. Like Al Sharpton they fear becoming irrelevant and missing the gravy boat. They need to fuel the racism fire to stay alive.

If racism is ever to be defeated, all racists like Rangel should be handled similarly to Riley Cooper. As long as we are doing what we are doing now, which is selectively prosecuting certain racist comments - there will never be any progress. NEVER.

all too true. as i have said many times, if we are going to eliminate racism in this country, we have to start with the person that look back at us from the mirror. charlie rangle is a loud mouthed liar who has been in congress far too long and is fast becoming irrelevant. so he stirs up controversy with stupid comments that are loaded with racism, but since he is a democrat, the media doesnt call him down to the carpet for these comments.
It's sad that we allow a blatant racist like this to be a party of our political process. Now there are truly people who care but that he can say things like this and not hardly a peep will be said about it shows that people by and large do not care about racism, all they care about is their politics.
For far too many politics trumps the truth, racism, religion and principle.
