Why do all western govts, business owners and large employers sell out to the Chinese?

Is it simply because they revere them, love the Chinese system, or just don't care about the future?

Everything is made in China, offshored or outsourced there, yet the merest hint of socialism has most of the posters here in a tizzy.

So what's it to be.

Is the mighty Chinaman the idol to aspire to, and if not, why keep selling out to him?

Not to mention a docile workforce.

A lot easier to control a 10 year old Asian worker than a 40 year old union guy from Michigan.

There's no report about child labor in China (except occasional cases, maybe).
They have the "one child policy" and few if any parents send their child to work.

it's called short-sighted and spineless profiteering - selling out to the China man for short term gains, just like a junkie

Businesses generally only worry about making money in the short-term. You have exceptions, but if you're not making money now then you'll get driven out by somebody else who is short-sighted, and then you'll not make money in the future either.

Unfortunately, many people in the states have been duped into thinking that laborers who want good pay are jerks.

looks bad really, and there should be some kind of committe of sorts that deals with this issue, otherwise our future citizens will be cleaning the toilets in Beijing - no thanks
