In this article, it says the rebels are disappointed that the US and European countries haven't sent them any guns. Why would we ever even think of giving those Muslim extremists guns? They'll just use them on us in the future. Plus, al Quieda and other terrrorist groups have infiltrated the Free Syrian Army. Obama must be insane to support the rebels with millions of our taxpayer dollars. The United States needs to stop trying to be the police of the world. Here is the link:
Syria's Brotherhood says West must step up arms to rebels

We need to back Assad.

Terrorist organizations have trumped the rebels.

The Syrian rebels beheading a Catholic Priest is yet another reason not to send any guns or support of any kind to the Syrian rebels. If anything we should be joining Assad in fighting AGAINST the rebels.

Obama did that and the US has no influence in the region.

Bad idea.

Back Assad. Let Russia supply arms Assad needs.

Provide intel.

Low risk.

This whole thing is supposedly about a future pipeline to Europe according to some sources... therefore you have France and England giving us the nod to take the lead.... But it would step on Russias toes and they are not buying

No, what Obama has done is to back every regime change in the region. ... He has funded and supplied virtually every last one... In Libya he even used our military... What do we get in return? Bengazi...

Why we publicly back Assad.

Might make idiots in the region take notice.

Its low risk for potentially high return.

I have never seen France (in modern times) so gung ho for going to war. The pipeline would explain their motivation.

Our only action should be to offer humanitarian assistance. Then sit back and let the Syrians sort this out themselves. We have a poor record when getting involved in someone else's civil war. And this looks like a real messy one with no winners we'd like to cozy up to.
