Goes the same with those in the Middle East.....we are fighting against culture and some find that more important than having morals. Amazing how some cultures choose to kill others

Somewhat true. Also just more guys incarcerated and the peak was during the crack epidemic.

Good to see you are willing to admit that it is only because Obama is from Chicago that you would pretend to care of the homicides that happen there.

Obama's former press secretary traded his job to Bill Daley for the mayorship.

In addition to other factors, Obama has major ties to Chicago.

The real bottom line is that the city doesn't give a crap and never has....unless the shootings are happening in nice areas etc. Gangbangers and poor blacks in bad neighborhoods.....the city doesn't care and gets a pass.

Kind of a problem that takes care of it's self.

With many innocents caught in the middle.

Sounds like the Lower East side of Manhatten in the 1890's. Ruled by criminal gangs and ignored by police. Without law or access to courts business disputes are adjucated with guns.

So what else is new?

Guess this is what happens when a city has no gun control laws, anarchy ensues.

Thugs killing each other is not newsworthy.
Innocent children raised by people who choose to live there aren't either.

Yep. And Chicago doesn't want to spend money on poor areas with after school and various diversion programs, it's really just cheaper to let them kill each other off and the innocents just have to try to keep their heads down.

.....and the only reason this gets posted here is because of politics.

One side just gives the cities policies a pass and the other side just points to it out of partisan sniping.

Just like if Chicago were a republican dominated city where Bush grew up, we'd have had march after march decrying the cities racist policies and disparate impact of deaths. Instead, they just blame guns.
