So she didn't know that. Big deal. Her point was that he was a good kid, who got decent grades, and not a thug.
You really think all these people are lying?: his mother, his brother, his school teachers, his uncle, the principal of his school, his school-mates, the person who submitted his grades to O'Mara? They're all lying? That, I don't believe.
You guys are so determined to make Trayvon out as a thug, that you quote far-right websites that post erroneous information, you disparage the future he would have had with no basis in fact, you assume you know his grades when you don't, and when I provide links to facts in more reasonable, reputable sources, like the Orlando Sentinel and NYtimes you disregard it as "less than truthful." The only thing Trayvon detractors say that is true is that he has no future. You're right about that.
Zimmerman would have taken a beating...He would not have died. I doubt very much that Martin who is portrayed as being semi-smart would have bashed out his brains...
The gun made the whole altercation go south. What would have been a common street fight with a faster younger kid punching out an out of shape fat older guy would have ended with an assault charge against Martin - And who knows...maybe getting charged with assault would have been a positive turning point in Martin's life?
Zimmerman was "patrolling" with confidence...false confidence - the kind that a gun ensures. If Zimmerman was not armed he would have called 911...and stood down...it was that damned gun that gave the fat little coward the confidence to advance and continue to follow....I say this is a good example of proving wrong that "guns don't kill people - people kill people" In this case the gun killed Martin...Zimmerman was merely holding it like an idiot.
And you base this on what? A Visionquest or something? Many people have been killed and crippled from continuing blows to the face and head. What proof, or even evidence, do you have that this would NOT have happened? We already know that Z was screaming for help for well over a minute in the 911 call. It's pretty obvious that M didn't just take one sucker punch and walk away. Witnesses heard the attack and saw Martin pummeling Zimmerman. So, you know he would just have "beat" him eh? Just what says that a person has to lay there and take a beating, at the mercy of the assailant as to when he might finally decide to stop?
Here's a pretty simple rule to live by....don't go around beating strangers. Seems pretty obvious, doesn't it?

Yes - give them their measure of wine and bread...set them down at the games...give them a hero- give them an enemy...stir their emotions and all is under good control......Imagine a President who is supposedly black who was elected not through logic but emotion...who intentionally would spark possible race riots with the highly inflamed statement - IF I HAD A SON..HE WOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE TRAYVON.

Do you know haw many people have died while taking a beating. You were not there, you don't know if the head beating would have continued and for how long. Your head doesn't have to hit cement very many times before you get a concussion or end up never being able to speak again.
We don't know for sure, but possibly, the gun saved his own life, just as firearms save lives regularly in this country.
