Doing a quick look at google, A gas station in Gorda, Calif., south of Big Sur, is charging $5 for a gallon of gasoline.

I was in that little hamlet just last month. I guess considering how its the only gas station for miles in either direction of Hy 1, I can see how theyd want to charge tourists an arm and a leg.

Good thing I filled up in San Luis Obispo and didnt have to refill again till I got into Carmel.

Hate that drive btw, that cliff about 1000 ft above the ocean nearly made me sick.

But what a beautiful spot. It brings back fond memories for me. Ever read anything by Jack Kerouac?

I'd love to go motorcycling in California. It probably has some beautiful scenery. But alas I'm in Florida. Lots of sunshine and nothing to look at.

Petrol rose twice today. I believe it was around USD3.28 last station I passed, and I'm nearly empty!

Hurray for having filled up for $2.75 - I love living right off Gas Road. ((It's not really called Gas Road on maps. It's a nickname for a road that has 9 gas stations practically right next to each other that compete for customers))

2.75 sounds great! Well, I guess the oil companies have once again fooled us into allowing them to boost prices by 2 bucks just to lower it by a buck so we can feel like we're saving money.
