A chart I made a few years ago, from the same source (listed at the bottom):

(Green areas are authorized by the Constitution and so they are legal, red/pink areas are not)

You missed one big one that no other country matches. So much cost involved with this one you did not mention that foodstamps becomes the killer of our economy where as other nations it does not bother them one bit because they do not have to pay out to that on thing you forgot to mention.

None of the above, I'll go with military. Especially when you factor in V.A, nuclear weapons (Dept. of Energy!), NSA, CIA, etc, etc... They get sneaky with that budget.

Also, a lot of our debt and the payment on it is attributable to military spending.

Do you suppose most people are even aware, that most Federal spending is unconstitutional, and is only maintained by the constant spinning and twisting of big-government advocates who cannot bear for that spending to be handled by states and lower governments?

That is correct. One must dig very deep to find the true cost of the military industrial complex, real deep. Not some lame ass chart downloaded from www.tohellwiththepeople.com.

What's sneaky about it? It's listed in the FIRST LINE of the budgets the Fed publishes every year.

If you want "sneaky", check out the way they slip in "interest received" next to "interest paid", and then lump them into to something called "Net Interest". And this on the ledger that's only supposed to list expenditures!

Needless to say, that's way, way down the page, unlike Defense expenditures.

But why won't the tea party introduce legislation to make changes, that is the entire reason why they came to washington, its was to cut spending. social security, medicare, and medicaid are the biggest drivers of our debt.

Show me this first line, and how it includes all military spending.
