you dont have to hug a cop, a friendly handshake is sufficient. just show them that you appreciate the work they do, and give them a little respect. that will go a long way.

No thanks. Some of us have had experiences with police, that makes you want to run the other way. I want nothing to do with police. I saw one following me, I slowed down, he PULLED me over ANYWAY!! I asked him why he pulled me over, he said I acted suspiciously.... Geez, by making sure I was doing the speed limit?!

Forget it.
