No it's not. Sydney is not even top 10 most expensive. Places like Tokyo, Osaka, Moscow, Zurich, Geneva, Oslo, etc. always rank as the most expensive.

You're right, Tokyo and Osaka are ahead of Sydney, which comes in at #3. Geneva is #10

What are you talking about? We have a "fair go for all" you just have to do something in your life to get it.

I don't know why people have such an issue with people living the life they earned for themselves.

He's talking about how Australians believe in helping their lower classes more than we do.

We have already covered how cost of living eats up the grain of a higher minimum wage.

I was referring to their welfare state. Australia spends more on their bottom 20% and less on their top 20% than we do. They also have better training programs and cheaper education systems so if you are poor Australia is an amazing place to live. If you are rich then the USA is an amazing place to live.

They have a economy much like Detroit's in their hay-day with china being their consumer of a mining dominated economy. I would bet that many in US at one time said Detroit has it right ;dominate one thing.

They just found oil too. Their oil reserve is estimated to be larger than Saudi Arabia's.

Isn't it time to raise the U.S. minimum wage? It is very low for 2013!

Higher wage = More $ to spend.

No, prices wouldn't necessary go up. Perhaps maybe slightly smaller paycheck for multimillionaire and billionaire CEO's?

First is a clue and the second, prices would surely rise.
