Not under federal law. Back in the days of the civil rights movement, the federal government would charge with violating a person's civil rights when all white juries would acquit in cases like this. It is time for Holder to step up.
This is a GREAT day in America. I thought the jury was going to cave to PC pressure and fear mongering, but they came through with flying colors and came to the only logical decision. George Zimmerman protected himself from a violent racist, as proven in the trial, and was well within his rights.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
God had nothing to do with this; the devil is dancing tonight.
And everybody else who thought the verdict was right, we have no heart.
This is just ridiculous. I was never a fan of G.Z. I think he should probably never should have owned a gun. He should have called the police and stayed the hell away. However, I do not think that he in any way shape of form intentionally wanted to hurt Treyvon. As a member of the Jury, how can you convict someone with murder if you are not 100% sure he is guilty.
I feel really bad for Treyvons parents. I am a mother, and I can only imagine how they feel. But just because I feel bad doesn't mean I have to find G.Z guilty of at least something.
Even Treyvons mother said last year in a TV interview that all she wanted was an arrests and she wanted a jury to decide the faith of G.Z.
I was responding about grieving for Trayvon's death NOT anything related to the details of this case.
why is this State Attorney woman dressed like she's going to a dinner party?
They probably dragged her out of a political fund raiser for the verdict.
