According to Rachel's testimony, he told her he had almost made it to the back porch.

GZ most likely wasn't aiming for TM's heart. He was struggling with TM and the shot was fired at close quarters. And it happened quickly with no time to point and aim the gun properly.

And actually, when target shooting, most practice shooting at targets that are quite a long distance away. And they are also taught to aim for the main body mass, not hard to hit moving targets like arms and legs. Even a head shot is difficult and discouraged because the head is a small area of the body.

This is the work of a reactionary, someone who consciously/unconsciously wants to push our nation back to the 1950s.
He could redeem himself. He could insist that the Justice Department get involved and do their part to protect an innocent person's civil rights. The prosecution suppressed evidence. The "discovery" process helps ensure the fairness of the criminal justice system and is a CIVIL RIGHT. The prosecution not only criminally suppressed evidence, claiming they didn't have it when the defense requested it, they fired the person who acted honorably and presented the evidence. Someone in the prosecutor's office should be spending a good bit of time behind bars.

Obama should do the right thing and order Holder to have the justice department to investigate the prosecutor's office and charge the criminal involved. He would do much to restore the integrity of the office that he squandered in his racist comments prior to the trial.

So it's open season in Florida.
Adults eat Skittles also... since when is candy consumption limited to children?

So what? If there's nothing to fear, why do you carry a gun? How many times have I read on this very board how much people hate the media and don't believe a word "they" report/say!!

In every jurisdiction across this country... The burden of proof is always on the state in every case. It's called innocent until proven guilty. And I'm sure you've heard of the fifth amendment whereas the defendant does not have to testify.... Kind of the way it is in America.

Hysterics? Hardly. It's simply the way the law is written in Florida. If there are no witnesses, a person can shoot the other person and not even have to testify. The burden is on the state.

"if you’re ever in a heated argument with anyone, and you’re pretty sure there aren’t any witnesses, it’s always best to kill the other person. They can’t testify, you don’t have to testify,"
