So George shot him the back while he was running away?
TM was running from GZ out of fear, and had every right to stop and "stand his ground", even if that meant hitting GZ in the nose or slamming his head on the concrete.
Does anyone here think that Zimmerman's injuries justify the use of deadly force?
what we think and what the law allows are 2 different things.
No I dont think GZ was beaten all that bad. Marcia Brady had a worse looking nose after a basket ball bounced off it.
I don't believe that TM was trying to kill GZ. If he was GZ would look a lot worse.
None of that matters.
What matters is the law. I believe GZ was afraid for his life. The prosecution failed to prove that he wasn't.

How do you know he was running out of fear? Nobody knows that. The only person that would be able to tell you is Martin. You can't say that as if it were a fact.
It was more an appeal to emotion than the facts of the case. They made a lot of references to GZ having 'hate in his heart'. How you prove that or how probative it is is beyond me. Seems to me if they wanted to demonstrate hate on Zimmerman's part at the moment he fired they'd have to take the trouble to bring up past hateful acts. They didn't did they?

Then it seems unfair to allow the prosecution to allege it -unless, of course, Zimmerman uttered something hateful at the fatal moment.

Ummmmm, no, not at all. It has to be a REASONABLE fear. Being paranoid isn't reasonable.

It also has to be what a reasonable person would consider as a threat to their life or serious bodily harm.
The main point I've learned is if you do use a weapon in SD, you keep your mouth shut and keep repeating...
"I was in fear of my life" Repeat over and over.
Me too. That is a scary thing too. Road rage guy comes to your car and he has a gun. You shout at him and get out of your car also. Bang he shoots you. I was afraid for my life he jumped out of his car at me. He was threatening me.... maybe no threats happened but no witness to disprove it either.
All I know is what Rachel Jeantel (the girl who was talking to TM on the phone) said, and I would feel the same way if YOU were in TM's position.
Would GZ be innocent if YOU were in TM's position? I doubt it.
