Seriously? You're doing a drug raid on a guy's house who's on tape illegally loading a shotgun at an event in defiance of the gun laws, and you shouldn't assume that he's armed and willing to shoot you if you raid his house? What planet do some of you live on? OF COURSE they used the SWAT team...good grief!
Absolutely! This citizen is a non violent protester. Read about him. There was no way he would be violent.
And by the way, there should have never been a raid. There was no need for an arrest other than to punish him for protesting.
I do see your point and I am sure that our police officers do have some corruption. And after reading your post I see the importance of keeping this corruption under control.
But personally I believe our police officers are regular Americans just like you and me.
And in (my) mind I feel the same way you do about the raid, but I am not a police officer.
The majority of police officers do not want to get shot, they do not want their co-workers get shot, and they do not want innocent people to get shot. Because of these facts police officers take measures to keep themselves and everyone around them safe.
When guns, alcohol, drugs, or mental illness are involved in a situation, the police show up in large numbers to keep everyone safe (including the person they are arresting.)
When people are on drugs or alcohol they often do dangerous things when confronted with the surprize of being arrested. So the police show up in large numbers and quickly overpower the situation so no one even has a chance to get hurt.
And the flash bang grenade was not intended to hurt anyone, the loud noise was used to confuse the subject, so the subject and everyone else around him would not be hurt.
You also said "there was no need for an arrest other than to punish him for protesting."
But the subject was in possession of psychedelic drugs along with firearms (this is against the law.)
The police officers are not responsible for this unjust arrest, American law is responsible for this arrest.
Of course it was veiled....you did not actually say it. That's what is meant by veiled.
I'm not. I'm calling you out on what you actually meant but lacked the guts to say. That was as obvious as what veiled means.

It would only be veiled if he didn't know what i was talking about. Obviously, you knew, so he knew. You're not a genius. I didn't say anything cryptic, so don't pat yourself on the back for "breaking the code."

Lmao. It was totally cryptic on purpose. You got cornered. Nice try though.

You're not capable of cornering me. Again, if you figured it out, then it wasn't cryptic. You don't have that many lightbulbs in the chandelier. Don't be so impressed with yourself.

What planet do you come from? Did he have any history of violence? No. Protesting is not violence.
And there should have been no raid at all.
LE chose to harass him because he protested. The chose NOT to arrest the TV reporter who showed an illegal gun on TV.
What did you think about the Rodney incident???????
Rodney King was a total scumbag worthless POS that should be removed from society.
THE cops who beat the spit out of him were abusing their power and I'm glad they got prosecuted because even a POS doesn't deserve LE abuse of power.
