That's funny, Trayvon's parents are being interviewed on CNN right now, and they just said why they were at the trial, and his mother answered, "We are the face of Trayvon. We speak for Trayvon." --or something to that effect.

BUT ... they're being used. IMHO, people (Crump amongst them) are in their ear telling them that they can't believe that GZ was found not guilty and that they need to continue their publicity tour.
Otherwise, how are Al Sharpton & Crump and his cronies going to get air time? And if they disappear off our screens - who will buy the buttons, posters & tshirts?

So Corey avoided a grand jury, where her case likely would not have held water, and then withheld evidence in her affidavit to the judge. “It was a perjurious affidavit,” Dershowitz tells me, and that comes with serious consequences: “Submitting a false affidavit is grounds for disbarment.”"
Do you have a link for that? Because I don't think they were necessarily dropped. I believe he accepted a plea deal and the two felonies were reduced to misdemeanors as long as he completed court-mandated Anger Management classes.

The pertinent information to know is that GZ had charges brought, but NO Convictions (2005). He had assault on law enforcement, resisting arrest with violence. Both dropped to resisting arrest without violence and then dropped all together.
On his domestic violence (2005) with Veronica Zuazo, she filed a motion for a Restraining Order and he counter filed. The Orders were mutual and eventually discharged.
George had obtained a lawful Conceal Carry license. That means that he passed BOTH a State and Federal background check. Had he ever been convicted or pled guilty to a felony, he would not have been able to obtain a CHL.
As to his relative (Witness #9) claiming "molestation", that is suspect. O'Mara talked about her trying to sell her story to People Magazine - very suspect. The Judge rejected the calls and the audio tape of her interview because her story was uncorroborated and, therefore, was not admissible.
Also suspect is her comment on George being a racist - "I can't remember anything, but that's just a known thing that that's how his family feels."

Why do you think the parents are being used. They're not dumb. They know exactly what they're part of. Trayvon's not coming back. Why return to their lives of work and drudgery and obscurity when they can travel the country and world, mingle with the famous, run a foundation.
